Shortly after leaving the log jam site Ralph and I ran into Ken who said there were no more logs to cut ahead. He knew as he had been here w/his weed whacker a few days working alone. We left my saw by the side of the trail and continued up chopping small branches as we went. At 11:30 we ran into a few other workers and decided we found a good lunch spot and would take lunch early. After lunch the others moved on up the trail and Ralph and I just laid back and took a good nap. This is a very large Iliahi (Sandalwood) tree which was growing right were we took our break.

Just an "artsy" shot thru an Hawaiian Koa tree. Looking off in the distance on the left you can see the twin pines on Tripler Ridge.
