Everything looked so good. The stairs solid. The only real damage was the rusty blast doors seen on the last page.
Here there were still light bulbs in the sockets. The gray shaft looking thing in the middle of the picture was part of some kind of lift system to get the projectiles up to the gun.
Not sure were this ladder went. Up to the turret we saw when we were above ground? It was locked down tight and could not be opened.
