At one point Makaha Stream goes under the road and today water was flowing.  We stopped to enjoy the sound of the water falling down tiny waterfalls and over the small bolders in the stream bed.

Off on the right stream bank a patch of white mushrooms were growing.  You can see them in the panorama above.  Dan went down for a closer look.

The small water fall way in the back is caused by water flowing over the top of a small plantation dam.  It was built to divert water into the irrigation system for the sugar cane growing in the lower valley way back when.
