Down the trail we go passing through a grove of coffee trees. Two trail markers can be seen on the right. Blue is for the Wai`anae Water Works trail and Yellow is for the Wai`anae Ramble. For about 25 minutes from the parking area the two trails share the same path.
Just below Kanewai Dam 1, Dan stops to clear leaf litter from the intake used by the Ka`ala Learning Center for it's Kalo loi and other irrigation needs.
