Here is a close up looking into the tunnel.
Some of the water from the tunnel is being released into the what was a dry stream bed to help revive the environment along it and to help water the taro down at the Ka`ala Learning Center.
My story ends here although the trail keeps going on for a few more miles. It was getting late and I stopped taking pictures and GPS readings and headed for home down on of the new "bail out" trail I had cleared and marked..
