About 1/2 hour from the Big Rocks the trail passes through a forest of Lemon Eucalyptus Trees.  The air smells of Lemons.  They are the large light gray trunked trees below.  This is a Panorama so use your scroll arrows.

Still in the Eucalyptus forest the trail comes to the crest of a ridge that the hikers call HOBB'S RIDGE and the hunters call SNAKE RIDGE.  Oh yea, remember there are NO snakes in Hawai`i.  This area the forest floor is covered w/a type of AGAVE.  Once upon a time someone thought an industry making Sisal Rope from the fibers of the Agave.
