Quite some time after the last photo and after crossing two major gulches the Ramble Trail again intersects and shares ground with another trail. This time it is the return route of the Wai`anae Water Works Trail. As w/all marked trails in the valley the return portions are marked in ORANGE.

Farther down along the shared portion the trail cuts through a patch of Wauke trees. This is a type of Mulberry which the Hawaiians used to make KAPA (tapa). Kapa is a cloth like material made from the bark of the trees. Wauke is a thin tree w/a very straight trunk.
