Just a few minutes above the 2nd rock face is the third.  We are at an elevation of approx 2600' above sea level.  Like the first rock face there is a passage on the right.  This time the scramble up is a bit spookier.   The first picture shows Danny slipping off to the right.  Once around on the right you come to  the rock one must climb up unaided by any ropes.

 

Once above the 3rd rock face the trail is narrow, the drops long, but the views are fantastic.  Check out this view to the west.  The green  pointy peak is Kawiwi, and the browner one to the far right is the end of the Kamaileunu hike.
