Around 11:30 Michael was above us, he had found a "break" in the cliff. It was rather steep so he tied off the nylon strap he carries and up the three of us went. Here it looks like Dan is swinging in the air, but he is really climbing.
After that the path we took was steep. Often we scrambled up grabbing trees to keep from falling back. Sometimes we used Michael's strap which we kept pulling up behind us. Dan, Michael and I each were carrying 100' of rope. IF you look hard you can see the yellow rope tied to Dan's pack.
Did I mention that it was steep? We were leaving long white ribbons to mark our path so we could go the same way next time. I was also clearing w/my loppers.
