I climbed the rope first, followed by Jean, Dan, and then Michael.  We pulled the rope up after us and used it on the next section.

We could not go "up" any more from the little level spot at the top of the first rope.  So we followed a pig trail that sort of held the same elevation  which is about  2400' above sea level.  We had already gained 1800'  in the 2 hours we spent on the trail.

The pig trail was fairly wide, but needed a lot of clearing so that people could walk on it.  Michael went ahead of me exploring as I with my 31' loppers cleared the way for Dan and Jean.   This picture was taken at about 11:20 and we had gained only about 50' of elevation since the top of the first rope.  As you can see in the picture above and below the "wall" was quite steep on our left.  We had no choice but to keep going on.
