From the Manana Stream bed we climb to the crest of a ridge we are calling Iliahi, the Hawaiian term for Sandal Wood as there are a good number of trees on the ridge. This was a climb of another 400' as the crest of the ridge is about 1000' above sea level.

We crossed the semi-flat ridge on an old Hawaiian Electric road which is now just a foot path through the grass. This panorama is looking across Waiawa Valley, again the Wai`anae Mountains in the distance. Don't forget to use your scroll arrow to see all of the picture.
