The next photo was taken perhaps 20 minutes from the Geocache site is looking back toward the site. Way off in the distance is the 1100' location of the cache. Also in the picture is the remains of some sort of geological survey marker.
About 5 minutes above the marker I found a USGS Benchmark cemented into the rocky ridge crest.
