We hiked along the WST until we came to a clearing where you can look down into Lualualei Valley. This clearing is at the end/beginning of Heleakala Ridge. Looking back the way we came one can see Dick in the clearing below.
Just before reaching the clearing we spotted a few Hawaiian Land snails.
