For some strange reason I never published this adventure back in '05 when I hiked it. It's is now August of 2010 and since I again want to hike this great trail, I'm publishing it so my friends can decide if they want to do it.
Here is a map. We start out parking at the Makapu`u Lookout and then cross the road and climb up to the crest of the southern end of the Ko`olau Mountains.
The views from the top are fantastic. Over on the right (this is a panorama photo) you'll see a little hang glider. Click on him for a close-up.
